We are counting on the Quality Control Lead to ensure that our manufacturing processes and training result in consistently meeting our customer's needs, while achieving production and profitability goals.
The Quality Control Lead will take initiative, work as a member of our management team, to drive continuous improvement inside our organization.
The QC Lead will also work very closely with our powder coating production team.
The hours of operation are from 7:
00AM - 3:
00PM Monday through Friday.
The Quality Control Lead will gain an understanding of customer quality requirements and the needs of the Powder Coat team to meet GOALS.
While ensuring compliance to our quality management system.
The QC Lead will gain a full working knowledge of all equipment and processes.
The QC Lead will communicate with and train all new team members.
He or she will serve as a teaching resource to all team members.
WHEN NECESSARY, the QC LEAD MUST BE WILLING TO WORK SIDE BY SIDE ON THE PRODUCTION LINE COACHING OTHER STAFF MEMBERS, TO ASSURE THAT QUALITY REQUIREMENTS ARE MET.
The QC Lead will have the AUTHRORITY to approve or stop production of a shipment of product based on the customers quality requirements.
The QC Lead would then work with the team to address any quality issues/concerns.
At times, there will be direct interaction with customers to address new requirements, and/or quality issues.
Essential functions and
Responsibilities:
Represent and have accountability for an established quality management system.
Prepare reporting and lead a monthly Quality Management meeting.
Ensure communication across all lines (masking, hanging, coating, packaging, etc.
) and identify and address line delays immediately.
Support the sales manager and plant manager when necessary to engage with customers on quality requirements and/or quality issues.
Ensure product requirements/item detail sheets are accurate and complete.
Maintain materials, equipment and instruments related to production and testing of product in conformance with all regulatory codes and specifications.
Ensure procedures are followed when correcting a quality issue and approving the final CLEAR TO SHIP on outgoing product.
Full working knowledge of coating operations and complete all training as required.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Lead monthly quality management meetings Participate in production meetings.
Lead the effort to get rejected parts ready for production, may require sanding or masking parts.
Work on production lines as needed, when a quality issue arises, to help meet customer dates, or if a key team member is off.
Enter data into our internal operation system to support production and communicate quality requirements to line workers.
Development and delivery of training for new employees using established training modules.
Excellent time management skills.
Preferred requirements:
